the challenge
The gym had the easy part down: real energy, regulars who showed up at 6am without being asked twice, coaches who actually cared. None of that made it into the feed. What did: dim lighting, shaky clips, and captions that read like they were written for a form, not a person.
Good in-person energy doesn’t automatically translate to good content — someone has to build the bridge. We treated the brief like a real one: turn one hour of gym footage into something worth stopping for, in a format tight enough to repeat every week without reinventing it from scratch each time.
the approach
The best rep of the day isn’t a hook. We mined for the line, the face, the three seconds that actually stops a thumb mid-scroll.
One planned shoot with a shot list built around each hook — not a wander-around-and-hope-something-happens session.
Sub-15-second cuts, with captions written to carry the story sound-off first — sound-on is the bonus, not the requirement.
A repeatable weekly rhythm and template, so week twelve doesn’t take longer to make than week one.
If it doesn’t work with the sound off, it doesn’t work.
the deliverables
what this demonstrates
This is a sandbox build, not a client scoreboard — we made it to prove the format holds up, not to chase a follower count.
A repeatable format
A hook-first template built to survive week twelve, not just week one.
Built for sound-off
Every caption carries the story even if no one taps to unmute.
Ready to hand off
Shot list, caption bank, and posting cadence documented — the same handoff we’d give a real client.
Tell us what you're building. We'll tell you honestly if we're the right fit — no sales pitch, just a real conversation.
